Has Andre Greipel got a condom on his helmet? And what do we think of Peter Sagan's victory celebrations. July 7 2018 the 105st edition of the Tour the France will start, and on this page we will share all results and standings. Prior to the final ascent, rider will climbe Col de la Madeleine (17.1km at 8.4 percent), a long and steep mountain that will contribute to fatigue riders.

Stage 17 Favorites
Primoz Roglic is the obvious favorite having been worried only by Pogacar on climbs so far. He can rely upon the best team of the Tour and will try to put time into rivals and secure the first spot on the podium.Tadej Pogacar and Miguel Ángel López both looked brilliant at the end of Stage 16. The former is 1:45 behind the yellow jersey Roglic, while the later is only 40 seconds behind his fellow countryman.
Richie Porte's form is also improving but he usually struggle on Alpine stages with steep gradients while Rigoberto Uran could love hard days and altitude like this.
Adam Yates looks less frisky than the first week and whether the super-steep end to this stage will suit him as much as some others is unclear.
Mikel Landa looked very solid so far and he could have waited for this stage to attack the yellow jersey.
Nairo Quintana and INEOS Grenadier’s Egan Bernal both lost more time on Stage 16, which means they’re really struggling. We would overlook the Colombian duo although the 40-minute-plus climbs at high altitude in the Alps suit them the most.

Is a winning breakaway a possible scenario?
Yes it is. There are not so many teams able to chase a breakaway at this point of the race and a breakaway could be successful also today.Dani Martinez and Enric Mas could be the most active riders, having been quiet on Tuesday and we also expect Mark Hirschi trying to win his second stage.
Aggressive riders like Marc Soler, Omar Fraile, Esteban Caves, Alessandro De Marchi and Thomas De Gendt will also take any chance they're given.
Other possible attackers with chances to be the first man to reach the finish line are Damiano Caruso, Alexey Lutsenko, Pello Bilbao, Nans Peters and David Gaudu.
Pierre Rolland and Benoit Conesfroy are tied for mountain points and will try to escape for sure but we can't see them as real conteders for the stage win as well as Thibaut Pinot
